Is low interdisciplinarity of references an unexpected characteristic of Nobel Prize winning research?

In this contribution, we conduct a multi-angular analysis of the interdisciplinarity Nobel Prize winning research compared to non-Nobel articles, based on large data set. Here is measured by diversity references, using two true indicators. Articles mentioned committee in Physiology or Medicine (in short: NP articles) awarded during period from 1900 2016 are focus our research. These articles with those dataset that do not include winner among their authors. Moreover, these non-NPs were only published same year and field as ones but also dealing topic (such referred non-NP articles). The results suggest topic-related knowledge included work higher than non-NPs, hence lower latter. Our findings provide useful clues better understand characteristics transformative research, here represented key publications laureates Medicine, pattern integration.
